While all of the Cryptids & Aliens series are great, this stone really turned-out to be my favorite, especially under the black light. It didn’t dawn on me until well after I’d finished it that it’s essentially a variation of the old Batman logo, which is kind of funny.

The stone was taken along on my 2022 cross-country road trip, but I couldn’t find a place that I thought made sense to leave it at. For example, the Bigfoot stone made sense at Devils Tower and the Alien stone made sense in Roswell, New Mexico, but Mothman is a native of West Virginia, so I ended-up keeping it with the intention of visiting Point Pleasant, WV, myself and leaving it there. Ultimately, after staying with a couple of friends who are heavily into the cryptid scene, it made sense to leave it for them.
