This morning, while working on a meditation, I felt the urge to come up with something different. The meditations are exercises that I’ve been performing for over fifteen years or so. They serve a purpose, but have become stale and uninspiring. My intent was to try to build a character out of new shapes and patterns, but it didn’t result in anything interesting. However, while working on the meditation earlier, I’d noticed I’d been careless and allowed what I’d been working-on to bleed through to the next page in the book, which reminded me of a friend saying the reverse side of some artwork (the bleed on the opposite side of the paper) was more interesting than the actual artwork, so I decided to quickly play around with the idea. Not sure if this will go anywhere, but I’ll name this collection “Oppositions” and go from there.
