This stone was made specially for a cross-country trip to witness an eclipse in Utah in October of 2023. Joshua Tree National Park is my favorite park in the USA and I also love the U2 album of the same name. On a cross-country trip in the spring of 2022, I actually visited the spot where the photographs for the album were shot, near the western entrance to Death Valley National Park. I’d intended to visit that park on my 2023 trip, but due to the storms that hit the area over the summer, the park was completely closed. So, I decided to visit Joshua Tree NP on the way to San Diego, instead, camping with my aunt Diane along the way. The joshua tree on my stone is the one from the U2 cover.
