Orange Lettering on Blue Gradient -- Another favorite, wish I'd done more orange letter plates Fluorescent Blue Lettering and Orange/Pink Fluorescent Gradient Orange Lettering and Orange Gradient ("The Cremesicle") -- Wish I'd one more of these, but I only did four orange letter plates Green Lettering and Orange Gradient -- Intention was an Irish flag scheme Orange Lettering and Green Gradient Green Lettering and Green Gradient Green Lettering and Red Gradient -- Intention was an Italian flag scheme but comes off as a Christmas theme Red Lettering and Red Gradient -- Almost all of these were off because I loaded the roller to heavily for the gradient plate, they were mostly smeared Gold Lettering and Black Background Black Lettering and Black/Red Gradient on Card Stock

happy new year greeting cardsprints linocut block printing ink

Read my blog post about the creation of this print.

Decided early on to once again go with a Happy New Year card, rather than a Happy Holidays card, this year. Despite the early decision, I didn’t put knife to linoleum until after the new year, so the cards went-out a bit late. Regardless, I was still happy with how they turned-out, especially the sort of random way I went about the different combinations of colors, which will be applied the Happy Birthday cards this year.

The print was based-on a woodblock print by Andrew Walko, which was one of a series depicting the Chinese New Year.
