Painted Stone #113: Black Cat

Dispersed: October 22, 2023
Location: La Jolla, California

This stone was made specially for a cross-country trip to witness an eclipse in Utah in October of 2023. My friends, Shon and Tara, moved to San Diego about five years ago and I finally got to visit them on my cross-country trip in 2022. On my 2023, I decided to make each of them a custom stone inspired by something I know each of them love. Shon is currently on his second and third black cats and we were both born on Halloween, thus a black cat.

Submission #1

Name: Shon
Date: 11/9/23
Location: hidden behind books on a shelf

I was OCD fiddling with the things on my shelf when I felt this unexpected object brush up against my hand. I was surprised and then delighted when I realized it was a “Robbie Rock”
