Painted Stone #120: Fluorescent Circuits #1

August 26, 2024

Dispersed: September 4, 2024
Location: The Crest of the Toughest Hill in the Park, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio

This stone glows so brightly under a black light that I couldn’t get a good photograph of it. My first attempts at fluorescent paint pens on a fluorescent base didn’t work well, either, thus the “circuits” were born. The black lines create a better base for the fluorescent paint pen work.

Roaming Stones Submissions

Below are submissions by the people who found this stone.

Submission #1

Name: Eric
Date: Oct 9, 2024
Location: Buckeye Trail near Marowski Hill in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park

My wife and I were hiking the Buckeye Trail and stopped just off of the trail to take pics by a large oak tree. We spotted the rock, took a couple of pics of it, and left it near where we found it.

Submission #2

Name: Sammy
Date: 12/27/24
Location: Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Found next to a stone alter off the trail besides a creek near an old, abandoned, 100+ year old tractor
