Dispersed: June 29, 2022
Location: South Bass Island, Ohio

The period of my life from 1975 to 2004 included many visits to my grandparents’ cottage on Middle Bass Island. The view of Perry’s Monument on South Bass Island was always there, from the ferry trip around South Bass to the southern shore of my their property. As a child, I loved going up to the observation tower to see what everything looked like from such a great height. I returned in the summer of 2022 to camp a night on each island and leave a stone on each. This was the one I left on South Bass near the monument itself.
