While I’ve mostly been doing simply pretty stones and/or one with positive messages on them, this one just had a life of its own. The shape of the stone lent itself to being an eye, but it turned into an ugly, bloodshot eye, which led to the back becoming an ugly, rotten and screaming mouth. To salvage it all, I added the caption of “2020 got me feelin’ like…”  The stone was placed in a knot in a tree on the Buckeye Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park on October 4, 2020.
